Kindness is your name....
I asked,
and in rabbit games
you came.
Beaming starlight
on my dark ocean,
guiding me
to warm safety.
And then, with a smile,
you are gone.
Back to star-making
and shining light
on other’s dark
oceans.

There is much evoking in this poem, and that adds to it's power for me. The opening line "I asked," leaves the reader to imagine there own deep request, a request that feels deep and dark as the mysterious, possibly treacherous, nighttime ocean.
And in this deep imagery of stars and oceans, like two splashes of magic "rabbit games" and "star-making."
