If there was ever an argument for the power of poetry, it is here....
Its about being given a voice when u always thought you never had one.
i can relate to this alot in my own writings, i lived in shame for along time , because of my undiagnosed ADD.
But though writing again, i have discovered that people can say what they like about you, but they can't take away your right to express who you truly are.
Try as they will to break our spirits, but we can never be silenced. The ability to find ourselves again through self- expression is one of the tools we have to move from darkness into light.
It's free.
It's always on.
And it can never be taken away.
Use it .
